சைவ சித்தாந்தம் என்பது ஒரு பொது உண்மை. பொது உண்மை என்பது அனைவராலும் ஏற்றுக் கொள்ளக் கூடியப் பொது நியதியை வரையும் தன்மை கொண்டதாக இருக்கும். பலரிடையே சைவ சித்தாந்தம் என்பது ஒரு சமயம் எனும் சிந்தனையும் நிலவியே வருகின்றது என்பது மறுப்பதற்கில்லை. எனினும் நம் சமய சான்றோர்கள் சைவ சித்தாந்தம் சமயம் கடந்தச் செந்நெறி என்று குறிப்பிடுகின்றார்கள். இச்செந்நெறி ஒரு முழுமைப் பெற்ற சமயம் கொண்டிருக்க வேண்டிய கூறுகளைச் செவ்வனே இயம்புகின்றது. அவையில் முதலாவதாகக் குறிப்படுவது உண்மை பொருள். ஒரு சமயம் என்று வருகையில் அச்சமயம் பதி ( இறைவன் ) , பசு (உயிர் ), பாசம் (மலம் ) என்ற முப்பொருள் உண்மையினைப் பற்றி விளங்கத் தெளிவித்திருத்தல் அவசியம். பின்பு இரண்டாம் நிலையில், சாதனை முறைகளை பற்றி பேச வேண்டும். அவை சரியை, கிரியை, யோகம், ஞானம் என்கிறது சைவம்.
முன்றாவதாக, பயன் அதாவது அணைந்தோர் தன்மையைப் பற்றி சான்றுகளுடன் சுட்டிகாட்டுவது செம்மையாக சொல்லப்படுகிறது . இறுதியாக, நான்காவது கூறாக அளவை இருக்கை ஏற்கிறது. அளவை என்பதை முதலாவதாகதான் சொல்வது இயல்பு என்றாலும் அதன் தன்மை மிகவும் வறண்டு தத்துவங்களாகக் கொட்டி கிடப்பதால் இறுதியில் வைப்பது புத்தடியாருக்கு எளிமையாய் விளங்கச்செய்யும். அளவை என்பது பெயரில் கடினம் காண்பித்தாலும் எளிய குறிப்பிடுகையில் அளவு கோல்களாக கொள்ளலாம். இது என் முதல் கட்டுரை மட்டும் இன்றி சைவ சிந்தாந்தம் ஒரு அறிமுகமாக இருப்பதினால் சுருக்கமாக முடிக்க வேண்டி இப்படியாய் முற்றுச் செய்கின்றேன். தொடர் கட்டுரைகளில் ஒவ்வொரு கூறுகளையும் ஆழ்ந்துச் சிந்திப்போம் வாரீர்!!

This is my first attempt to write about Saivism in English. Probably my English and Terms that i use to describe certain things wouldn't be perfect. What i want from my blog readers are only that keep reading things that i'm saying is not about my imagination. i'll quote things from books that i've read to prove things that i'm sharing with you all. hope you all get to enjoy and develop knowledge in Saivism.
Oki.. As an introduction towards Saiva Sidhantham, among us many think that saivism or saiva sidhantham is a religion followed by a group of people practicing hindhuism. More than that, a number among us think saivism belongs to indians whom speak Tamil as all the original philosophy books were originated in Tamil language.
Saivism is not a religion at all its all about universal truth. It could be confusing and shocking for some of us. Keep track of me i'll give you answers.
A very basic or a very first thing that got most of attention in saiva sidhantham is the list of requirement to filter through a religion. Simply, what are the things that must be included or must be explained by a religion so that we can consider that religion is a complete one or fulfilling one? The answer, first thing is a religion must talk about its ULTIMATE TRUTH. Such as God, Soul, and world( why we are here??). then THE METHODS. the methods of getting close to god, the methods of knowing the ultimate truth of life. number 3 is BENEFITS. This refers to the benefits after knowing the truth. proves of people who have achieved in their spiritual path. In saivam it is listed as "periapuranam" 63 saints have lived their spiritual path is several ways and had reached the ultimate point of their life. then the fourth, MEASURING TOOLS. Its funny to be said as that but i think its better for understanding. Its very theoretical, ita all about how you are scaled after karma.
Again it might sound real boring some time. just hang on as i'm talking about core of saivism.. and i'm pretty stuck as i don't really know to end where. haha.. anyway i'll end it here. no worries if u cant understand. i'll continue by going in detail about every single subtitles from the gigantic title that i've talked about today.. people take care. vanakam again. feel free to comment below..
